This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) outlines how we collect, store, use, and protect the information, including personal data, that you provide or that we collect when you access or use our website https://watchvertical.co/ or VERTICAL mobile application (available on platforms such as iOS and Android) (collectively referred to as the “Service/Services”).

Information We Collect From or About You

EIGHT via its Services (VERTICAL), collects, processes, and stores personal and non-personal information about users (“you”, “your”, or “user”) in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. This section outlines the categories of information collected, its purpose, and the manner in which it is utilized to enhance, personalize, and optimize the Services offered through the VERTICAL platform.

Information You Give Us

When you register for and/or use VERTICAL, we collect and store certain information that you provide to us. This includes information shared during account creation, profile setup, or when engaging with features such as in-app chats, forums, customer support, sweepstakes, contests, or promotions.

Additionally, if you choose to register or log in using third-party authentication services (such as Google, Facebook, or Apple ID), we may collect and store publicly available profile details, including your account name, user ID, email address, and other necessary identifiers required to link your account with VERTICAL. This information helps us facilitate seamless access, provide personalized recommendations, and enhance your experience on the platform.

Creation of an account on VERTICAL: We will collect certain information from you during the registration/ sign-up process for the Services. This may include information like your name, locale, phone number, or email address.

Invite a Friend: Vertical may offer you the opportunity to invite your contacts from a Social Login platform (such as your Facebook friends). Such contact information will be used only for promotional purposes.

Interaction with Customer Service: We may collect your email address and any other personal information you provide to us when you contact our customer service or otherwise communicate with us.

Forums, Sweepstakes, Contests and Surveys: We may also acquire information from you through (1) your access and participation in forums or in app chats on the Services, or (2) your participation in surveys regarding the Services. We may also provide you the opportunity to participate in a sweepstakes or contest through our Service. If you participate, we will request certain personal information from you. Participation in these sweepstakes and contests are voluntary and you therefore have a choice whether or not to disclose this information. The requested information typically includes your contact information (such as name and shipping address), and demographic information (such as zip code or equivalent). We use this information to administer the sweepstakes or contest and to notify winners and award prizes. Information Collected Automatically: When you interact with or use Services of VERTICAL, we automatically collect certain information about your device and your use of our Services. This could include information such as your, browser type and language, IP address, device ID, hardware and software information, advertising ID, standard server log information, your connections, and interactions with other users, purchase histories with us and social media data (if you have linked your account and in accordance with your sharing permissions). We (or the third parties we work with) use standard tracking technologies (like log files, software development kits (SDKs) and web beacons) to do this. In addition, we or our partners may also use tracking technologies and advertising IDs to serve personalized ads to you in our Services.

Mobile Platforms: When you access or use VERTICAL, through our mobile application, we and our authorized third-party partners may collect and process certain technical and device-related information. This may include your unique device ID (persistent/non-persistent), hardware type, device manufacturer, media access control (“MAC”) address, international mobile equipment identity (“IMEI”), operating system type and version (“OS”), OS language, time zone, screen size, mobile device Advertising ID (such as “IDFA” for iOS devices or “Android Advertising ID” for Android devices), and general geolocation data (city/country derived from your IP address). If you have linked your account through Google, Facebook, or Apple ID, we may also collect your email address and associated identifiers for seamless authentication and service personalization.

This information is collected to enhance your experience by allowing us to analyze usage trends, troubleshoot technical issues, optimize platform performance, and determine compatibility with different devices. Additionally, EIGHT reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to share specific user information with its advertising partners to enable the technical delivery of personalized advertisements to your device. While we do not currently engage in such data sharing, we may choose to do so in the future, in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Any such implementation will adhere strictly to our Privacy Policy, as further detailed in the Interest-Based Advertising Section.

User ID: When you register to use the Services, we create a unique user ID to track your use of our Services.

Mobile Analytics: Like most mobile applications, we use mobile analytics tools to collect certain information about your usage of our mobile applications, as well as on your device and the health of our Services to allow us to better understand the functionality of our Services on your device and for app optimization purposes. Such tools may record information such as how often you use the application, feature usage, and usage statistics, events that occur within the application, aggregated usage and performance data, and where the application was downloaded from (i.e. which application store).

We do not link the information we store within the analytics software to any information that personally identifies you within the mobile application.

 

Our Use of Tracking Technologies to Collect Information Automatically

 

Tracking Technologies

We and our third party partners, affiliates, or analytics service providers use standard tracking technologies (like web beacons, SDKs, APIs, scripts and tags) to identify your computer/device, to “remember” things about your visit or your use of the Services (such as your preferences or a user name) and to help us understand things like, what pages and features you use.

Such information may be linked to or combined with other personal information we process about you, such as your user ID, for purposes such as improving the quality of our Services, tailoring recommendations to your interests, providing and personalizing our Services including making our Services easier to use, and for fraud prevention, security and authentication purposes.

Interest-Based Advertising

EIGHT employs ad-serving technologies that use cookies, clear GIFs, web beacons, tracking pixels, and other similar technologies to deliver interest-based advertising to you about third-party products and services. We may via our third-party advertising partners, also advertise our Services to you on third-party websites. You may also see our apps advertised in other services (like on Facebook). After clicking on one of these advertisements and installing our app, you will become a user of our Services.

When you use VERTICAL, some third-party tools (SDKs) integrated within our Services may collect and use certain information collected from your device for the purpose of ad display and optimization. Such information includes GAID (Google Advertising ID on Android devices) or IDFA (Identifier for Advertising on iOS devices), region (i.e. the location where a given language is used), geo-location information (with your consent) and IP address. This Policy does not govern our third-party advertising partners, as they have their own privacy policies, which are accessible using the links provided below. We have no access to or control over such third parties. In addition to identifiers, these third parties may also collect information relating to:

1) Advertisements served and the location of the ad;

2) Length of time an advertisement was visible;

3) Domain type, IP address, size of the advertisement; and

4) Click-throughs (i.e. whether a click was made on the ad) and advertisement response.

They use this information (alone or in combination with information they have collected about you when you use third party websites or services) to: (i) enable the technical delivery of ads to your device and to verify click-throughs and/or installs; (ii) provide you with more relevant ads about our Services; (iii) enable offer walls, which allow you to choose from various rewarded ad or market research offers; (iv) track results and measure the effectiveness of ads; and (iv) improve the accuracy of their targeting and measurement systems.

WHY AND HOW EIGHT USES YOUR DATA

Any information that we collect from you and/or gain from your usage of the Services and/or the Web Portal and App shall be used and/or shared for the following purposes:

1) Provide, personalize, and improve our services- We use your personal information to operate our Web Portal and App and deliver our Services including recommendation content, features, products, and services that might be of interest to you, identify your preferences, and personalize your experience with our Services. We shall use information pertaining to your contact lists and sync it with our user database to provide you with relevant information and notifications from time to time. Example: notifying you if your contact has joined Our Web Portal and/or App.

2) Provide, troubleshoot, and improve our Services. We use your personal information to provide functionality, analyze performance, fix errors, and improve the usability and effectiveness of our Services. We may share non-personal information, such as aggregated user statistics and log data, with our business partners for industry analysis, and demographic profiling, to deliver targeted advertising about other products or products or services, or for other business purposes. This information is solely used to analyze the Web Portal and App and understand usage statistics, as mentioned above

3) Comply with legal obligations. 10) Disclosure to Service Providers: We may employ third-party companies and individuals due to the reasons including without limitation, the following: to facilitate our Service and/or to provide the Service on our behalf and/or to perform Service-related services and/or to assist us in analyzing how our Service is used. We want to inform our users of this Service that these third parties have access to their information. The reason is to perform the tasks assigned to them on Our behalf. However, they are obligated not to disclose or use the information for any other purpose.

11) Research: We may use and formulate content from your de-identified information in relation to our Services via. Web Portal and App for commercial-business purposes including but not limited to analyzing and tracking user’s behavior and attributes. We may use third-party services to analyze and docket certain information about Your device and interaction with Our Web Portal and App. Such information helps Us in troubleshooting and preventing errors, performing data analysis, and developing new features.

12) Other uses: In addition to the aforesaid, we will use your information for the following purposes: (i) to improve our Web Portal and App and addition of features to our Web Portal and App; (ii) to provide targeted content based on your Web Portal and App behavior; (iii) push notifications and communications about the Web Portal and App such as security alerts, announcements, updates and Web Portal and App features in case You have enabled the receiving of such communications; (iv) respond to your queries, complaints and/or feedbacks through our Web Portal and App; (v) further, it is understood and accepted by you that we may make public by way of reports, blogs, analysis, etc., all aggregate results and user statistics that support and depict our Web Portal’s and App’s functioning, growth, reach, or success across any platform, digital or otherwise.

13) We may share your information with our parents, subsidiaries, and affiliates for internal reasons. We also reserve the right to disclose and transfer all such information: (i) to a subsequent owner, co-owner, or operator of the Web Portal or App or applicable database; or (ii) in connection with a corporate merger, consolidation, restructuring, the sale of substantially all of our membership interests and/or assets or other corporate change, including, during the course of any due diligence process.

Our legal basis for collection and processing of information: The legal basis for collection and processing of any information collected and processed by Us including any personal information is (i) your consent at the time of providing the information; (ii) where it is in our legitimate interests to do so and not overridden by your rights (for example, in some cases for direct marketing, fraud prevention, network and information systems security, responding to your communications, the operation of networks of groups by the network administrators, and improving our Web Portal and App). In some cases, we may also have a legal obligation to collect information about you or may otherwise need the information to protect your vital interests or those of another person. BANK ACCOUNT DETAILS PRIVACY

At EIGHT, we are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the confidentiality of your financial information. We do not store, retain, or have direct access to your bank account details or payment information. Any financial details you provide, including payment methods, will be used exclusively to facilitate transactions related to our subscription services (when launched) or Virtual Currency transactions within the platform.

All payment processing, including transactions related to subscriptions and Virtual Currency, is handled by third-party payment service providers, who operate in compliance with applicable laws and industry-standard security protocols. EIGHT does not collect or retain your financial data beyond what is necessary to process the transaction.

Additionally, if you opt for an Auto-Renewal mandate for subscription payments, please be advised that such mandates are managed directly by your chosen payment service provider. EIGHT does not control, store, or process recurring payment authorizations.

By using our platform, you acknowledge that all financial transactions, including those for Virtual Currency and future subscription-based services, are subject to the terms and policies of the respective third-party payment providers.

Eight does not share your personal information except as approved by you or as otherwise described in this Policy. We may disclose your information in the following circumstances.

Examples of these services include analyzing data, IT and related services, payment processing, sending emails and providing customer support, and security fraud-detection services. WHAT IF YOU WANT TO DELETE YOUR INFORMATION

Any user who has submitted information on the Web Portal and App has the right to (i) access, correct, and delete such information subject to us successfully verifying your identity; (ii) to withdraw your consent to our use of your information at any time where we rely on your consent to use or process that information by contacting our customer service team. (iii) opting out of receiving any promotional or marketing material by contacting our customer service team. Please note that if you withdraw your consent, this will not affect the lawfulness of our use and processing of your information on the basis of your consent before the point in time when you withdraw your consent; (iv) right to have the information transferred to another data controller; and (v) lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, of an alleged infringement of applicable data protection laws. We shall endeavor to acknowledge any request received by us in relation to the aforesaid within 7 -15  working days. You can request to delete your Information by contacting our customer service team. Please keep in mind that we will have to close and delete your account and access details to the Web Portal and App in order to delete your information and you will not be able to access the Web Portal and App and your previous purchases (if any made on the Web Portal and App).
